Now's the Time of Weakness: stupid irrational rambling »

iampagliacci:

I’ve never told anyone about this (probably because I never felt the need to), but I used to have a real problem with ghosts. Or at least, the concept of ghosts. I’ve never encountered one, and I hope I never do. Over the years, I’ve been trying to convince myself that ghosts don’t exist. If they…

Before bed, I turn every awkwardly-shaped shadow in a dark room into a figure and then just psyche myself out until I have to turn on the lights and check.

Ditto the mirrors thing, too.

Rosaries help.
PS Can we please stop being similar, please? I was reading this post and thinking how great it was that  I wasn’t not the only one who felt this way.

Nix the bloodiness of the imaginary ghost incarnations. Mine were always those sneaky types.

PPS, I’m your standard Catholic, though. So instead of attempting to convince myself, as you have, I’ve been using the same basic concepts…but in the form of prayer. Been praying for years about this sort of thing. About how, if ghosts exist around us, then let them not manifest themselves in any form, manner, or aspect, pleasepleaseplease.
